Today ...
...my pants are so tight that I had to unbutton the top button. I'm sitting here with my pants undone at the waist. It feels lovely to admit that. There is something about this week that makes me throw up my hands and not care one bit about anything other than feeling good, whether it's by eating food I love, spending time with my friends, or even just taking a long bath. It's the holiday season in earnest and I just don't think that I should spend much time doing anything other than feeling good and happy, which includes loosening up the pants at the waist. Turkey subs from Jimmy John's, while delightful, can bloat a girl when consumed too fast. Which I did. Also? I hate these Target pants. They're just too cheap and irritating. Anyway, I'm using these last couple of weeks to only do the things that make me feel good and make me happy. Running with my dog, reading, taking long naps, eating the homemade sausage my dad makes every year ... whatever strikes my fancy. Right now, if I thought I could get away with it, I'd go grab my gym bag out of my and change into my workout clothes. Last night I went ice skating, and Lord was it fun. I'm a decent skater, and I keep a pretty deliberate pace. My butt was still a bit sore from a longer-than-intended run with Glin yesterday morning, but after about 5 minutes I was fine. I love when my exercise is combined with more than just me wondering how long it will be until I've fulfilled the requirement to burn a decent amount of calories. I will be going on break from LTB until after the new year. I haven't got much to say but I will once the new year begins. Happy Holidays, everyone! See you in 2007! "Do you want a half slice?" "Hell na - full slice it! Ho ho ho!" I then proceeded to get in my car, promptly get out, and unbutton AND unzip my jeans for the ride home!! Ho ho ho.... posted by: Von at December 20, 2006 12:12 PM Happy Christmas! posted by: K at December 21, 2006 12:25 PM |

Seriously... I can totally relate! I've been working on losing weight for a year now, and honestly I'm burnt out. I decided that the last couple of weeks that remain of 2006 are not going to be counting points, or feeling bad that I ate chocolate, or a gooey sub, or whatever I felt like eating. I'm just not going to worry about it.
Although the whole tight pants thing has me wondering if maybe I should get on that bike and do a bit of exercising to balance out the rum balls :)
Happy Holidays!!!
