Observation

The lovely Nicole pointed out SparkPeople to me yesterday, and it wasn't the first time I've heard of it. Only the first time I got off of my butt and signed up.

I really like it. Plus? It's incredibly user-friendly, designed beautifully and nowhere does it make me feel as though I need to be dieting.

Yay progress!

I punched in an typical day for me on WW, including cardio, and do you know what I found? I was eating only around 1100 calories a day and buring almost half of that. Does that not seem fucked up to anyone else? PLUS. PLUS, I'd damn-near eaten all of my POINTS by midday, despite the healthiest of choices, and had I been following Weight Watchers not only would I not have enough POINTS for a solid dinner, but also would have been depressed and miserable by my obvious "lack of self-control."

Gah.

That was my problem- not eating enough. And I was so pressured to reach my WW goal that toward the end I was eating 1000 and burning half. Needless to say I made goal, then promptly began trying to maintain that impossible standard. Which has failed. I've desroyed my metabolism, and now and gaining weight trying to get it back to "normal".

that is completely insane. 1100 calories is starvation mode, and it's not surprising your body has stopped losing weight. i'm just over 200 pounds, which i'm sure is much higher than you, but i've been losing at about 1800 calories a day. if you were burning 500 and eating 1100, you were living on 500 calories a day. that's malnutrition and starvation inducing. a metabolism is like a furnace - you have to feed it to get it to burn hotter! good luck!

Oh my God the same thing would happen to me with WW. Yes, yes, and yes.

I just reformatted my Sparkpeople stats just today and am really pleased with all of the features they offer....FOR FREE.

And, I am going to start weight loss blogging again on Vox. I will let you know when I'm up.
