New Buddha Stuff
In the interest of Starting Fresh, as mentioned earlier this week, I thought it best to start with this site. So, today, I took the time to figure out how to build new template pages and the result, while maybe not completely ideal, gets the job done. Included here are my planned workouts for the week, all of which will be updated to reflect whether I did them or not. Also listed is a link to the Weekly Soundtrack, the workout mix I put together on my iPod to have during elliptical training. I figured I would share since ... well, whatever. I wanted to build another page since I figured out what I was doing. Ambitious though it may be, I also plan to include a round-up of what I ate for each day. Doing so is contrary to what I've always wanted this site to be, and while I still don't think anyone really gives a shit what I put into my mouth, I'm doing it for my own benefit. And anyways, this site hasn't been what it was intended to be for some time. I've put almost no effort into it -- why do you all keep reading? For serious. I have a monster cold right now, which took the wind out of my sails today. I have yet to get groceries and I'm putting it off until later when the stores calm down and I can traverse the aisles without feeling guilty for being the irritating person blocking the aisle, not paying attention. I'm going to go have some 7-Up and blow my nose. More later. Posted by Erin at 01:53 PM | filed under: Random commentsI read your site because I think you are utterly hysterical and totally inspirational. In addition, I would actually like to read about what you eat. Does that make me weird? lol. I think that when you are trying to change your ways and learn to eat a whole difffernt way, it's helpful to read over other people's menus. Hope that you are feeling better soon and best of luck meeting all of your goals. Take care! posted by: Kate at October 17, 2005 01:14 PM It's funny you question why people read your blog. I found your site somewhere in the middle of my 55 pound weight loss trek and enjoyed the effort you put into your postings. I will agree that lose the buddha hasn't been as active as in the past, but we all have lives and priorities. Your ability to verbalize your situation in a unique and interesting way is what keeps me coming back. I am also glad that you also post your thoughts on your main site (just as enjoyable to read). Keep up the great work! BTW - I'm running my first 1/2 marathon this Sunday in San Francisco. I'll be running for you and all of us women who struggle and continue to accomplish amazing things. posted by: Amy at October 18, 2005 03:27 PM I read because you are amazing and inspiring. I think others will agree. posted by: rebeka at October 18, 2005 05:07 PM I read your journal because its better for my diet than eating a gigantic sandwich. Read Buddha, Eat Sandwich, Read Buddha, Eat Sandwich....what to do.... I agree with you about Biggest Loser, I just can't get into this group, I keep trying but its a losing battle with the men against the women. Women biologically cannot lose weight as fast as men unless they starve themselves. And even then, the man would nap and eat steaks and still lose more. I think its unfair so I stopped watching it. posted by: Debi at October 18, 2005 11:54 PM |

I'm with you. Started a new round of WW today after dreaming that I was looking for a dress for a dance (seems that it was a prom, but I am far too old for a prom!). Needless to say I couldn't fit into my "skinny" size and they had nothing in my current size. I figured today needed to be the day.
Good luck.
