Dark Day
So this morning I was feeling good about things, happy to be back on track. Last night's spinning class was great -- albeit challenging -- and I managed to get my ass into the gym by 6 a.m. today for running and weight lifting before work. On my way to the free weights area, I pass by the spinning studio. I notice a three page, lengthy letter taped to the door. I stop. It reads: "Regarding Scott ..." Scott, as some of you may remember, is my trainer and the best instructor I have ever had in my life. Not to mention incredibly sweet, funny, kind and hot. He's hot, it's true. Apparently, Scott was let go from my gym. It's obviously a long story, and one the MORON OWNER OF THE GYM decided to share within the bitchy whining of the letter taped to the studio door, but I am so, so sad. I have never been as motivated and encouraged by another person as much as I was Scott. Scott was the reason I stayed at that gym. I'm not so concerned as to whether or not Scott being let go was his fault or not; I'm more concerned that the owner of the gym, in having felt the wrath of his members when they learned Scott was let go, decided he should air out personnel matters on the doors of the spinning room studio. The letter, in addition to being the rantings of a lunatic, was highly unprofessional. You top that off with Scott being the most popular trainer at that gym and you've got a recipe for disaster. In light of this, I'm leaving this gym and joining a new one. Erik is looking at a new one for the both of us to join. It's going to cost me about $15 more a month but it's nicer and there is a towel service. And parking. For you Chicagoans out there, it's Cheetah Gym. Avoid Cheetah Gym at all possible costs. For Scott Parachek, if you read this, and I know you know about this site, drop me an email, OK? Posted by Erin at 03:16 PM | filed under: Random comments |
