President Obama

small_obama_image.jpg
Amen.

Joshua Radin
Brand New Day

Some kind of magic
Happens late at night
When the moon smiles down on me
And bathes me in it's light

I fell asleep beneath you
In the tall blades of grass
When I woke the world was new
I never had to ask

It's a brand new day
The sun is shinning
It's a brand new day
For the first time
In such a long long time
I know
I'll be ok

Most kind of stories
Save the best part for last
Most stories have a hero who finds
You make your past your past
Ya you make your past your past

It's a brand new day
The sun is shinning
It's a brand new day
For the first time
In such a long long time
I know
I'll be ok

This cycle never ends
Gotta fall in order to mend

And it's a brand new day
It's a brand new day
For the first time
In such a long long time
I know
I'll be ok

I remember some years back when you wrote a post after seeing Barack Obama speak, and correct or not, I remember you called him a future president. I've held that with me through this two year election process, grateful that you introduced me to this candidate before he ever was one. Thank you, and know your words are important and meaningful to those who read them.

EJS: Oh dear. Thank you so much. That's so sweet.

I've never been so proud to be an American! Change we need, indeed.

And may I add - I hope Sarah Palin gets lost in the snow drift they found her in. If I never see that woman on TV again...

On PBS last night, after the election was decided, Ray Suarez, reporting from McCain's headquarters, said that many of those in attendance were saying...ahem...something like...."Wait till Pallin runs" (?!) I shit you not. I'm sure the Democrats would agree. Let's hope the Repbulican fantasies continue. I went home from work last night very much at ease.
