When The Boy asked me what I had planned for my birthday this year, as it is a well-known fact that I make a big, stinking deal out of my birthday, I replied, "Eh. I just want to chill out this year."

He about fainted.

Somehow, however, I managed to have the most jam-packed weekend I've had in a long time, birthday or not, and it's not even over yet. I've been off work since Thursday, won't go back until Tuesday, and today is the gorgeous Kate Shea's birthday and we Shea sisters can't let the party stop just because some of us have been well into their new year for a good 48 hours now.

And by party I mean "do laundry and eat more starches while playing with Glin."

I've eaten lots of bread and potatoes and Diet Coke, to say nothing of all of the cocktails, and not worked out once, and slept a whole lot. In fact, I may just go and sleep some more, right before I need to get up and meet Rachelle and Margaret who are taking me out for a birthday brunch, which will no doubt include more bread and potatoes and Diet Coke. I'm done with the cocktails for a bit.

Once again, I feel really blessed and lucky to have the friends and family that I do, all of whom went out of their way to wish me a happy birthday and celebrate with me.

I took some pictures this weekend, as I finally have my camera back, and you'll forgive me the several shots of food. I really miss potato chips, people.
