She's Out To Get Me, I Tell Ya
This week, my dog has managed to chew up the earbuds to my iPod - no huge loss since I normally listen to the iPod in the car and with real earphones at my desk but I do need them when I'm at the gym - and its USB cord, which means I can't upload any new songs to my iPod from my computer. She's also managed to chew off the plug to the iron, destroy a plastic bottle and subsequently puke up plastic remnants from said bottle onto the comforter, in the middle of the night, as I was lying under it. Asleep. I think she is trying to tell me something. At the very least, she's got jealousy issues with me and my iPod. He was forgiven with just one sloppy dog germ kiss! posted by: Lynette at December 15, 2005 07:38 PM Ellie ate my eyeglasses the day after I got her-- I was out of town for Christmas and had to find a LensCrafters on Christmas Eve. Not fun. That (and a stereo remote, library book and DVD case) aside, we've learned to keep our stuff out of harm's way, and she's learned that rawhides are preferable to the widescreen edition of "Something's Gotta Give". posted by: Meredith at December 15, 2005 09:20 PM I ate a piece of chalk once. Does that count? posted by: e d scott at December 16, 2005 02:08 AM Over the past year or so my dog Ernie had eaten at least 10 pair of my underwear. He's not interested in any one else's, only mine -he'll root through the laundry basket til he finds some, then chew the crotch COMPLETELY out and then delicately replace them. I don't usually notice until they've gone through the wash and dryer and I'm late for work.....oh yeah, he also goes into my purse and eats my lipstick. We think he has issues... posted by: Suzanne at December 16, 2005 11:09 AM This is funny. When spiceboy and I first got together my dog totally ate his Palm Pilot, which was the gadget du jour of the time. posted by: eastsidegirl at December 17, 2005 12:46 PM |

Abbers chewed through my iPod USB cord a couple months ago. Distraught, I was. Knock on wood, that's about the only thing she's really destroyed. Unless you count her shredded blanket, the toys she's ripped the stuffing out of without batting an eyelash, or the half dozen or so shirts she put holes in when she had her needle-like-tiny-but-deadly puppy teeth. I did catch her eyeing my earbuds in a suspicious manner earlier today, but I moved them to higher ground.
Gotta love these mongrels.
