File Under: "Incredible Waste Of Space"

"We could get over the rudeness, but the evilness, to be the villain, that is not acceptable." Gosh. And to think of all of the cops, firemen, doctors, businesspeople, et. al., that have had to endure such typecasting by Hollywood over the years. It's a wonder they didn't boycott, too!

Gah. You people have been eating one pack of in-flight peanuts too many.

Amen! I read that with disbelief this morning.

I know! I couldn't believe that...I hope no one takes them seriously. Where, exactly, did suspension of disbelief go?

Argh! Now I know how it ends!

I also was shaking my head this morning. SO STUPID. Maybe I should boycott all movies with nurses in them. We don't wear white caps! :)

How about the entire populations of England, France and Russia? 'Tis always amusing how, if there's an English guy in an American action movie, he WILL be the baddie.

And we Scots could work up a pretty good grievance over Shrek and Groundskeeper Willie if we wanted to :) Three guesses whether I think that would be a worthwhile use of time, energy, dignity? Correct.

Talking of national stereotyping - why didn't they get a real French actress to play Danielle in 'Lost'? Couldn't they find one who was willing to play a syringe-wielding nutter? Her accent makes me want to scream... Although Sayid is played by a Brit, thus collapsing several stereotypes at once, I suppose. (Please don't tell me how Lost ends - we're only on episode 5 or something).

AMEN! i read that article and laughed. as a nurse, there are definitely tv shows and things that i "shy away from" because they portray nurses as individuals who are brainless, cater to every whim of the doctors [sometimes er], or just plain non-existent [ie house, md--no doc or med student EVER has the time to do the things that they do on that show, let alone care about half of it anyways. not a nurse on that show at all, where 90% of what the "doctors" on that show do falls within the realm of normal nursing responsibilities in any hospital. but i digress...] i might disagree with some of those portrayals of nurses, however its MEDIA, people. HELLO--CHARACTERS, FICTION, NOT REALITY. nurse wratchet gave every nurse a bad wrap, and thats a character thats lasted FOREVER, and you dont see nurses crying about that one. flightplan is NOT going to be a classic. these flight attendants need to stop inhaling too many noxious jet fuel fumes. makes me want to see the movie just to SPITE them. so HA. take that flight attendants!

They should really be protesting the film's shitty third act.

But, what have the flight attendants ever had to get pissed about? They've been waiting for this for YEARS.
