I just got off of the phone with a DJ named "Bulldog."

I couldn't bring myself to actually address" him as "Bulldog," because, you know, BULLDOG.

I really enjoy radio interviews more than anything else. They're by phone and for the most part they allow me to completely forget that I'm doing anything other than just talking on the phone. And I have notes. Notes are good.

The readings went very well, and I had a surprisingly fabulous time at both. Thanks to everyone who came out -- remember that THIS THURSDAY at 7 p.m. there is a party at Tre Via Ristorante in honor of the book. Bring your friends, have some cocktails, some appetizers, mingle ... just come on out and help me celebrate!

In other news, Erik had a charley horse Saturday morning. I was already awake, watching TV, when I heard this blood-curdling scream come from the bedroom. I rushed in to see what was going on and poor E Dawg was barely awake, but still in total agony.

Despite everything I said, for the next two hours Erik would not agree that he suffered from a charley horse. He was convinced the condition was worse than that. This reaction doesn't surprise me: Erik is a man who, years ago when suffering from a cold, actually said with a straight face that he believed he was suffering from "walking pneumonia."

I caught him in the office, searching his symptoms on WebMd and its ilk for an answer. I walked over to his desk to give him what I considered to be a "good-natured" ribbing about it all.

"Erin," he said calmly. "I am trying to heal myself now would you please go away."

Erik is now a shaman, people. I married a healer.
